Is annoyed at being stereotyped. It appears (due to my status I imagine) that all my demographic does is date (online) and gamble.

I have just been looking at a gorgeous girl who I'd like to date and with whome, things are looking like we could be meeting up at some point, and next to her picture is a plethora of gormless looking models trying to tempt me into suscribing to this-n-that shite site. Even if my mate Dave uses it (oops! sorry mate) It doesn't mean I'm going to.
This is the point of Facebook to keep in touch with friends, this is not a dig at FB, it is however the boffins at fault.
I have tried clicking the cross and selecting "Not Intersting" but they just seep back again after a credit card ads. Do I have to change my status to marreid before they stop. Then this seriously impacts my dating potential if a girl I start to seduce into my FB world (sorry e-date) is greeted with Miles is married. "No, no, I can explain" as the saloon doors swing in the wind after my date's swift departure.
Targeted advertising is supposed to select intersting topics based on your content - Google gets it right. Hrrumph!
